From its inception, Collegium Musicum has focused chiefly on sacred music of the Baroque and Classical eras. Concerts are mainly given in churches, and this, to a great extent, determines our repertoire; there are very many works of this sort that are suitable for performance by a group such as ours. The works must be chosen carefully according to our circumstances and often have to be specially edited, adapted or arranged by Annemarie Philipps and Delyth Bressington. We also have to take into account the taste and preferences of our audiences.
